Flamenco music, the song and the dance are gypsy, Arabic and European culture. In workshops we work with all parts of the flamenco culture and the expression – and we spin it into the Danish high school tradition; among other things in the morning collections and evening events, where we through talks and lectures deal with the power we derive from the culture of culture – whether it is Andalusia, Africa or the cold North!
In the flamenco dance the whole body is the instrument. The dance expresses the poetic, humorous and deeply passionate. The dancers work with expression and choreography, and the training is exchanged with interaction where the guitarists and the singers participate in the teaching, and it all goes on to a higher level! Dance classes are divided into 3 levels: beginners, easy-to-practice and experienced. Practiced and explored works with the styles Soleá por Bulerias and Bulerias, the beginners work with the basic steps and movements of Bulerias. There is teaching in the dance style Sevillanas for all, and Sevillanas is dancing in the evening while enjoying a glass of wine et al.
Flamencooguitar spans wide. From Gipsy Kings to Paco de Lucía. Energy, temperament, passion and a blown right hand technique. The focus is on accompaniment, but we will also work with solo guitar. Everything is “on the ear” and “learning by doing”.
Flamencosang is centuries’ experiences of life, death and love. Anyone can sing it with their own voice. There will be taught in clap and foot markings, and the rhythmic styles Soleá por Bulerias and Bulerias – it requires collaboration with the guitarists and dancers. The teaching offers both choir and solo songs, depending on the desire and the song level.
Everyone is welcome, workshops are leveled. When signing up, choose which workshop you want to participate in.
